Thank you Blair! a big yellow moon just replaced my desktop photo of yours from last year. I have it on my laptop too and at work people ask about the photo and we end up talking big green eggs LOL thanks again for sharing your wonderful talent with us all.
hmmm isn't there a song about a big yellow moom??? -
The second shot is great!!! Much better than mine - I've never been able to capture a great image of the moon. The best I ever got was a blurred photo that looks like the man-in-the moon....thanks for posting these pics.

That looks jut like the one that rose over central MA at about 38 degrees and crystal clear.
Nice shot, as usual, Gator -
A pleasure as always Mickey, thanks.

Thanks Julie, I'm glad you like them. You and Molly I think are my original fans for the moon shots. I was hoping you had found them.
Have a great weekend,

Moon shot reminds me of late Blair in the old forum.Gator Bait said:
Hi All
Another beautiful night in Southwest Florida, 69.5º F and a slight breeze out of the NW.
The moon rose as a huge orange ball right on time at 7:53pm. I took several photos of it shortly after rising. There is to much atmosphere at that low angle to get a really clear shot but that is what gives it it's color.
An early shot . . .
Thirty to forty five minutes later when the moon was a little higher in the sky and it improved.
