It's okay, dude. There's no such thing as a good mushroom dish anyway. Sorta like avocados or brussels sprouts.


The only mushrooms I ever had that I particularly liked were burned to a crisp. Served on top of a steak at a restaurant on Lake Memphrémagog, Québec. They were actually pretty good. Maybe Canadian 'shrooms are better? :laugh:I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

tonight i made some portobello mushrooms stuffed with shitake mushrooms, braised in an oyster mushroom reduction, laced with truffles and truffle oil, bedded on a warm salad of sliced crimini and morel mushrooms.
