I saw a picture of a spiral sliced potato that was egged and served with steak a few weeks ago and was wondering if anyone had the recipe handy. Looked really good.

I did some awhile back. Used a spiral apple cutter, the results were good. Coated w/ salt and evoo and cooked indirect 375F for about an hour.

This is a pic of some called hasselback where the slices were made almost thru on a vertical plane.

You can get mostly the same effect if you take a potato and lay it between two wooden chopsticks and then cut in about 1/4" slices, down to the chopsticks.

I put thin slices of raw onion and Parmesan cheese between the slices and then drizzled some EVOO over the potato and hit it with some S&P.

I did mine in the oven at 350, but it would work on the egg too.

I think a russet baking potato is best because it is long and straight.
