Nice Kendell, I haven't tried a shepards pie on the egg yet

Shepherd's Pie on the egg. What a good idea!! Not a huge purtater fan myself but everyone else here loves them and Shep's Pie is a big fave for my little lady... Looks like I'll be scoring some points this weekend because of your post!!

It all looks tasty - the peas and rice are interesting - we like both, have never combined in one dish. Do you mind sharing the recipe - or is it as simple of mixing them together? (I like easy) -

It's very simple Elizabth, 1 can of coconut milk, 1 can of Pigeon peas or kidney beans, 1/2 cup water, 2 cups rice. Jamaican dish, very good with jerk, mellows out the burn

Oh so I'm not the only one in Arkansas that eats Shepherd pie! :woohoo: Really good winter meal isn't it. Never had it till we took a ride out to the Smokies. Was in Gatlinburg and rode past this English pub. Stopped in for just a couple and ended up staying most of the evening. Not many folks in it but the Keep and cook were from England and great. Got hungry and it was fish and chips or shepherds pie. Went for the pie and loved it sense.

You can find some good little joints puttin' around on a scoot cant you?
My introduction to shepard's pie not nearly as fun as your's, when I was a kid, every time we had meatloaf and mashed taters, within a day or two after, we had shepards pie. Mom called it "poor folks food" Now I make it on purpose, we love it.
