Anyone familiar with the offer on Woot for the Rival Vacuum Sealer for $25?

    I read some reviews. They were fairly positive. For the price I decided to Woot!

    I have one that looks very similar. Ok for a very basic unit I suppose, but you have to press down hard on both ends (until you hear the latches click) or it won't seal. Kind of a pain to place the bag in just the right spot too. A very small tab has to be inserted into the open end of the bag.

    After a relatively low amount of use, mine got to where it would suck the air out of the bag, but wouldn't automatically activate the sealer. I had to manually press the seal button after no more air was being removed. No big deal, but that's when I replaced mine with a Weston. For considerably more than $25! :)

    I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
