Found these beautiful eggstra large shrimp with heads & shells on. Brined for 2 hours with old bay and some seasoning salts for 2 hours. Set up indirect BGE at 225F for 1 1/2 hours indirect. Used pecan chunks and a few handfuls of cherry chips.
Guarded by the Stone Crab Florida Grillin Girl missed.

Finished:

Had to have dessert and used Beli's lovely lady Loren's recipe for the cherry pear Buckle. this is definately worth the eggfort. Used Gran Marinier instead of almond extract as I was out.

I cheated. Had no almond extract or almond nuts, so used chopped black walnuts and 2 ozs Gran marnier.

Louis, by Suntree Produce, is a very good source and have used for years. The Melbourne Beach Grocery Ocean Ave has 16-20 heads on $5.99/lb. Great value.

Richard, the shrimp look good, but I am a little worried about that black crab ya got there! Those crab legs look awfully skinny to me, for a stone crab.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

Oh man those shrimps look GREAT!! I still remember when I took my Yankie wife from N. Arkansas on a ride down to Gulf Shores before the storm. Went and ate shrimps and of course they still had the head on'em. She looked at them and asked what they were?!! I about died laughing at her as she had never seen a whole shrimps before! :pinch:

The crab is a bronze one with the right claw detached.
