Reheating Brisket

First I apologize for even having to ask this question. I have 2 briskets that have been in the fridge for almost 5 hours; at what temp should i reheat said briskets and how long do i leave them in the oven?
thanks in advance. I cooked my first brisket for a july 4th party. That brisket went from the egg to the table. this is my first time to have reheat one.

Typing "reheat brisket" into search box returns first 10 entries specifically addressing this issue. No idea of a good reheat method from me! My reheat attempts have all dried brisket out :( :S, but what do I know

:ermm: !
Good luck!!! -
JOJO - i reheat a lot of brisket, i cook up extra to throw in the freezer! dont worry they come out great and you will be the only one that will know that it came out of the freezer. I put it in an oven safe dish, and pour a little coke over the brisket and reheat, i keep it covered and i put it in the oven at 200 or 250, for the length of time, when ever it is warm, not much more than 30 min, i dont microwave it as it turns out dryer that way, u could also use beef broth but i have found coke works best! give it a try and let us know how well you like it! :cheer: :cheer:

Do you defrost first? I think my fails have been associated with my using TOO hot an oven, and getting the meat too hot. I have been using the baking dish foil thing, but not the coke! Definitely will try.
Thanks, -
i have done both, put in frozen and thawed, both work, u need to add coke!! :cheer: Not a ton, just enough to keep things moist, play around with it. And dont use high heat, and dont leave it in to long, when it is warm take it out and eat it, it doesnt need to be piping hot!

In a covered skillet on low, with beef broth.

Thanks everyone for the tips.

I steam heat left over meat using one of those oriental bamboo steamers. It works pretty well. I am going to try the coke method the next time to see what that does.

JoJoEggHead,
Best results I have ever had are slice and vacuum seal with jus, sauce or drippings. Reheat the bag in simmering water.

Steve,
I am going to keep that in mind. In looking through one of our basement closets, I noticed that Santa had been to Costco and picked up the Foodsaver on offer :woohoo:.

Tom,
Best way for heating most leftover stuff IMHO. Actually salvaged some dried out stuff that way.
