Water in dome thermometer

I have had my egg since September, but have been able to find every answer I need with the search function. Finally hit one that isn't there.

My dome thermometer got some sort of liquid in it about a month ago. I keep the egg covered when not in use, but we had a heavy period of rain, so maybe that is how it happened.

It is now freezing outside. Each time I use the egg there are drops of ice in on the glass cover of the thermometer. Once it warms up, the whole glass gets covered with the steamed water.

I was hoping it would cook out, but I have run it at 650 for an hour doing pizzas for a party and it is still there.

Any ideas of how to fix it? How to make sure it doesn't happen again?

Thanks,

Greg
