This controller is fantastic. Set the temperature and walk away. For the price hard to find a better value. Works great. I can cook overnight and not worry.
Last week I started a BB at 7:00 pm at 210 degrees. Slept all night without checking on temperature. 7:00 am next morning I bumped to 250 and went to work out. At 10:00 am I bumped to 275. BB was done at 1:00 pm. Like the ad says on TV. Set it and forget it.

Price has gone up. I bought for less than $100 in November.

That looks good.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

Never had any issues with mine. Works great for long cooks. I can't believe how much they jacked up the price for Christmas! Bought mine 3-4 months ago under a hundred bucks as well. Is it a stoker or guru? No. But sure beats waking up at night and going outside in single digit weather and 12" of snow just to check the eggs temp."The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

The first thing that happened was when I went to unplug the power supply the case came apart. Glued it back together per their suggestion. After that every time I picked up the unit it would shut off. Of course I would pick it up to see if it would somehow fix itself. No luck, but I was hoping. Then the unit would always go above the set temp by 25 or so degrees, thus setting off the alarm not to mention how it would affect the cook. I got it for under 100.00 too. How much now?Dave San Jose, CA The Duke of Loney
