Carnivore chipotle cheddar scones

Todd & I recently kicked around the idea of Carnivore biscotti or scones, & tonight being early dinner pasta night Thursday & all it was a good opportunity to give it a go. Made these similar to the bombones, but replaced the bomba with Carnivore Chipotle BBQ Sauce & used shredded cheddar cheese. Other seasonings included garlic & onion powders & dried parsley. Baked on the egg at 400 for about 35 minutes or so, sliced & served. They were another great alternative to garlic bread, & served with aglio e olio they were really good due to the tomato base which made them sufficiently different in flavor than the main dish to be a nice compliment:

This was not intentional, but looked remarkably like a cross between the Rolling Stones tongue & little steven:

Small palm full of cherry chips right at the outset gives a nice flavor:

Ready to come off:

Read to serve:

Very moist. There is so much nice heat in this sauce that it gave these a really nice flavor without the need to add any extra hot pepper:

My ability to guess what stuff tastes like is actually pretty good. But having a tough time imagining this one in my brain. Wild idea mang. I wanna piece. Looks like it would go good with beer, no?
All the best, Zippanator.

I imagine it would've gone great with beer, but no beers tonight. Big plans for tomorrow night that involve several beers, so I'll hold out. I was in any event thinking more that red wine would've gone nice with these. They had a very tomato-ey flavor with of course that great heat that sneaks up & smacks you as you're chewing. Other than that, a fairly straight forward savory cheddar scone-esque texture/flavor. Hope all is well in the nature huthappy in the hut

Thanks Scott, & tomorrow does hold a victory of sorts for me, but not the drinkable kind, that'll be left to a different brand; hope all is wellhappy in the hut

That's some nice looking British food for an Italian guy. Did see the resemblance.
