Alright eggheads, Santa wants to know if I need a 5 qt or 7 qt dutch oven. I have a large and I'm looking for advice to help me make the right decision.
Thanks in advance all!

The bigger the better....

You can put less in a big pot but you can't put more in a small pot. Same for pressure cookers and Eggs.

I've got both, use the 7 almost exclusively.

Can't go wrong with a DO especially when using with an egg. I do like the ceramic and have both ceramic and Cast Iron. 7, 12 & 16 quart for me. With the options you presented, the 7 qt.

same pot different cook

A little bit of everything
Can't leave out a good pot roast & veggies

And we haven't even started with the breads, cakes, and those wonderful soup cooks.

I have a 9,7 & 5 and use the 9 almost all the time on my large. More capacity.

I would get the biggest one that will fit on your large.

I have and use an eight quart CIDO and it is an antique I found for $40. at a flea market. I did not get a lid for it but, you don't need one when you use it in your egg. Tim
