Multiple levels of ribs question

Does a second level of ribs on top of another (using a grill extender or two grates) create a problem with the top layer dripping down on the second? I have a medium egg and I was trying to figure out a way to maximize the number of ribs effectively. Thanks in advance.

You may have to rotate the racks 1/2 way through but dripping is a good thing

Not a problem at all - put as many stacks as you like.

move them around, if indirect the top are usually hotter, move and rotate once or twice, watch them. would rather stand them on end and flip rotate if thas possible, not as goody for presentation but still great ribsfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

Like the others have said I don't mind if they drip on one another and I keep an eye on them and rotate when needed. I did six slabs CWM style and I rotated every spritz and they came out fantastic. Tim

KyEgg, this man taught me that you can stack many levels of ribs! Here's 5 levels of 3 slabs on an XLG:
The grids were rotated about every 1 1/2 hours. I actually resorted to using a foil covered rock as a spacer for the top level. -

I did two racks in the snow today, using GOV's technique of marinating in apple juice overnight, and basting with margarine, honey, sauce when close to finish. Came out good but slightly overcooked at 300F.

Can't say you did not see that coming :PSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given another Mini to add to the herd.

Grill extender or not, having many levels of ribs has never been a problem for me, as long as you rotate regularly. (I have a medium and like to have many people over so you have to try things!)
