How to cook Turley legs for a crowd on a MINI

A friend called me up and asked if I could BBQ some turkey legs for her. I only have my mini available, and tod her that providing there were not too many we would be fine.
Well she come over with 5 Honkin large legs.
Here is what I did (sorry did not take any pictures), I Started by taking out the Fire ring> I than placed lump with some smaller chunks of wood to the top of the fire box.
Lit the fire.
While the fire was going, I put the 5 legs in a drip pan with the bone facing up (sort of like a tee-pee) and tied the legs together with some butcher twine.
Once the fire was at temp, i put in my mini woo, with a pizza stone. I placed 4 balls of crushed up aluminum foil on top of the pizza stone (thanks to Fred Bernardo the smokin guitar player for this idea), you could use the egg feet if you had them....to create a separation between pizza stone and bottom of the drip pan.

I than put the drip pan in, put some water on the bottom of the pan, and let the fire go.

My thermometer has been out of my egg for a week (a new teltru is on its way) because it was useless... last time i checked it started at being 50 degrees off, and got worst as the heat increased.
So for this cook, i opened the bottom vent all the way and kept the top open.

the legs cooked for 2 hours, and I would have kept them on for a 3rd hour but the fire went out.
they seem to be cooked all the way through, and they will be reheated tomorrow, so I figured that it was wisest to pull them at that point, instead of lighting another fire.

all told it worked well, and i got some great stock out of it.

Hope my friend likes the finished product. They do look good.
