Another Turkey Question

I have 2 3 lb turkey breast to cook for lunch tomorrow, at 250 deg. about how long should it take to get the temp to 160-165degs?

    15 to 18 minutes per pound at that temp.

    i think generally we are finding the turkey go quicker in the egg.

    allow 15min/pound, but don't be surprised if it is less than that (especially for a breast alone)

    cook to temp, never time.

    (not sure GregC if you are saying the breast is 2-3 pounds, or, um, '23' pounds)

    also at 250 you won't get good skin. If you like the skin bump that temp up to 325-350

    Actually these are Turkey Breast Roast, in other words it's one side of the whole turkey breast - boneless. Only half of it is covered with the skin the whole thing is cover with a cloth net to help hold it's shape. So the color of the breast is not that important, I'll be using a V rack indirect over apple juice and plan to cover it with tin foil so the outside will not burn. Sorry about not providing all the information upfront.

    Steve, without the skin covering the entire breast thought it would be best to cover the meat to keep it from over cooking.

    Just wanted to let you guys know the turkey breasts turned out very good. At 275 - 300 deg. it took right at 2hrs. to get meat temp. to 160. Thanks for all the advice.
