Satay Chicken. Very good! Next time will include some pineapple and bell pepper. This is a keeper!

    Looks good! Whatever marinade you are using, try going 48 hours. The chicken will give up any resistance. Squash the pieces with your palm before putting on the skewers. ;) If you get them to 1/4" to 3/8" thickness they will hold the marinade better.

  • Kebabs are middle Eastern, Indian and Pakistani. Satays or sates are east asian, mainly Indonesia, Malaysia and the Thai Penninsula, including the surrounding islands. From what I know the Oriental sates are mainly flattened. Generally when I do chicken sates I remove the filet from the breast and slice the breast about the same thickness. The boneless thighs I slice in half.
    The longer and flatter the meat the more of the marinade it takes. Wow that was long winded. :ermm:
