Too cooks for the price of one tonight so to speak. Did some simple talopia and tuna b4 work yesterday. Just a little Raging river and EVOO on the Talopia and salt and pepper for the tuna rare.

Been real hot and dry hear but "Shoo" has learned a way to cool off and cu down on flys!

Tonight I did some St. Lou wet ribs that I rubed with house rub then basted in house sause with skewered shrimps in EVOO and Tsunami Spin, home grown jelepeno peppers stuffed with sharp cheeder and salt on top. The salt really completes to sharp/hot flavors and with out it "somethings missing". Also some portobello shrooms I smoked lightly direct till just starting to soften then cut in half, add to dish with a little white wine, couple good dashes woustershire sause, Main sea salt and a little fresh thime from the garden and back on the Egg indirect at 250 for about 30 min. Of course the raws:

With wet ribs I have quit foiling.

Love the Small as could never do all these sides and ribs with only one Egg. Had my ridding buddy and wife come over for supper. Last time to see them till Aug. as Mother in law hear next week then they are leaving for a 4 Corners run of almost 2 weeks and the day after they get back Doreen and me will be leaving for Colorado for a week and half. We will be staying at Idaho Springs Co. as a base for Rocky Mt. National park, Mt Evens area for 4 days then move on down to Salida threw Aspin and Independance pass and go over to Black canyon of the Gunnison one day and Cripple creek, Royal Gorge, Pikes peak the next then a hard 2 day 1100 mile run home. Any one have better towns to stay at to see these areas or suggestions. NoT looking for places with strip malls and outlet stores!LOL Just neat little towns with good motel prices and food realitive to stay at. Jake will have to sit this run out!

Great looking cooks, JL. Jake approves, as usual!
You may want to holler at cookinbiker since she is in Colorado Springs (Pike's Peak). She can probably help you with a place to stay and might even offer some Egg'd viddles....
Have a safe and fun trip! -

Who's eatin' good? You are. Nice way to slice/core the peppers, I'll be using that one.
-
Agreed on the sliced peppers! I fiddled around last weekend and have a 'hot' finger for the rest of the day. Looks easier to access ribs/seeds.
Your stuff always looks great...motivation for this newb. -
JL...Everything looks wonderful, as it always does!! Looks like "shoo" is the smartest cow on the farm!! Must be an Aquarius....lol. Hope lil bit is doing ok, and enjoy the ride! Be safe, and be well.

All looks great, thanks for posting! I guess those tomatoes are from your garden also? Grandpa always said if you had tomatoes by the 4th of July you were doing good. I am not doing good.

Awesome looking cooks, you always have great cooks and always look forward to them. Good Eats

Best in show, JL. Fantastic variety.
-
Got it Molly. Will call this week end and email you when it will be convienent.

That why I posted that pic with knife to give a little bit more detail. When you pull the seed and white out of the pepper gently squeeze the ends of the top cut to keep then from splitting on around and the whole top to fall off.

Thanks LC. Bits doing a lot better. Still not up to par but she ate 68 pieces of Cat Chow/ Science Diet last night. Worse part is giving her Antiboitic 2x a day with a dopper. It makes her sick and wants to throw up. Have to do this for a month as really resistant strain of bacteria.
-
We will Clark. Half the fun some times is the research and anticipation. Going to be pretty warm in Dodge City Kansas in the end of July but once to the MT's it will be nice!
-
Garden has been a struggle this year but has produced nice. Both my Japanese garden and veg have been like the plagues of Egypt on them with aphids, rabbits, funguse, and moles.
