Local grocery store had tri-tip on sale earlier in the week. Bought the smallest one they had, but it was still to big for the two of us, so I divided it and froze half. Marinated it for a few days in Stubbs Beef Marinade. Long story as to why the extended marinade, but it worked out great. Also did some Crash Hots (love those things!) and asparagus & sweet peppers. Great dinner.

I basted the asparagus & peppers in garlic infused olive oil mixed with lite soy sauce. Oh so good! I really need to work on my plated pictures, they rarely look as good as they taste.

Great looking tri tip but I am not familiar with crash potatoes. Can you give me your recipe for the spuds?
Thanks,

Nice looking meal you got there. :P Tim

Nice looking meal; love the veggies!

Mighty fine lookin tri-tip, nice job with vege's in the grill pan. I got somethin similar, a stainless perforated four sided grill pan that works great for vege's. Use it yesterday to grill pepper and onions for gyro samitches, much easer to use than grid alone.

Great cook Teresa, love that tri-tip flavour

Tri Tip looks great, Teresa. It is a favorite of mine, so I was wondering whether or not you thought the marinade added anything.

Thanks for posting the recipe Bobbyb. As LC said, they are always a hit.

I love my grill pan. Picked up a larger one at Bed, Bath & Beyond a couple of weeks ago that works great for grilling up lots of veggies.

Nice. tri tip is now high on my list of favorite cooks after just one attempt. I do like the idea of cooking half for just two!
