Father's Day Rib Eyes

Sorry, was too late last night to get these last photos up.
Here was our Father's Day Rib Eyes cooked TRex style on the large egg. Sorry in advance for no "on egg" shot, but I was getting enough teasing already without taking photos while the guests were outside watching me cook!
Here they are getting to room temperature. My dry rub ingredients waiting behind:

Here they are at room temp, covered. Also at the last minute I remembered we have a huge container in the fridge full of fresh chopped garlic, so I spooned that generously on also:

Off the egg and resting while the wine is being poured:

This time, I got to searing around 650, and dropped the egg fast with a complete shut down. I was back out in about 15 minutes with the egg at 400, then cooked them 4-5 minutes per side. EGG-cellent!
