Worked graveyards last night but before I went to work did so chops and fresh vegs from the garden. I think it was Thirdeye who brined some loin chops and decided to try it on a whim. Wife had all ready got the chops and was going to do them normal. Brined mine in a simple water, salt and red pepper brine for only about 45 min. Needed to be longer but unfortunately they just don't understand that at work!LOL Some Raging River for a rub on raised grill on the Small and a couple big chunks of 'simmon wood. The raws:

Wife did up the vegs using herbs from the herb garden as well as the Zukenie and tomatoes. Added a peace of pepper bacon cut up as well. Ate plane yesterday afternoon and with pasta last night at work.

Finnished up with a nice light char on the chops.

Doing a little dog sitting this weekend again. My Dad feels sorry for my wife since we don't have a dog right now working on the German Shepherd so he lets her keep Mink when I do graveyards. Mink doesn't complain as she stays outside normaly and temps are near 100 now. At her "brothers" house she get to stay in the AC PLUSE Egg food scraps!

For a AKC and UKC titled retriever she does real good with Jake. Course I "explained" to her that Jake was not to be fetched! :pinch:

Great looking chops JL. Good thing Jake doesn't look more like a tennis ball! Don't teach him to quack like a duck and hopefully Mink will be OK. I had a Mustached Parakeet for a short while (it bit like hell!) that would get down on the floor and chase the cat. Totally unnerved that poor cat. :cheer:
