Anyone planning any amazing feats this weekend on an Egg?
I'm 1 week into it....but hoping to try a lo & slo Pork Butt.
Any tips for a first time Butt cook on a Large? I've got some Dizzy Dust and Butt Rub. Was thinking I'd go with the Dust as the family is a bit heat sensitive (we're working on it

DD rub,250 dome,wood of your choice,Cook til 195 I.T.,remove,wrap in HDAF,place in a cooler for 30 mins,pull,serve,enjoy.YES,it is that easy.

Hoss covered the question on the butt…..Very well, I may add!!
But, yes! I’m cooking on the Egg this weekend.
I’m thinking a pork roulade one day and some Lake Michigan salmon another!
Who knows from there…Sometimes the Egg is fired for the day and you just never know what might fire the missal.

I'm doing something to ME that is amazing this weekend...I'm doing my first overnight low-and-slow.
I've done numerous small butts but never ones so big before, but think I can manage it alright, because "me and the egg have done bonded".
(Hope so! I have a bunch of folks showing up, and they'll probably be hungry, knowing them...) :laugh: -

Two racks of BB's tomorrow. Trying them on the performer this time though. Pork butt for an overnite Saturday on the small. Now I just need something to cook for Monday ...
