Barry's OKC Steak Class was a WINNER!

We took Barry's steak class in the rain at Oklahoma City yesterday, stopped by OKC'S Crescent Market on the way home for some rib eye's and tried our egg for the first time this afternoon. We've got a chicken on now to eat next week.
We followed the directions we learned yesterday and the steaks were superb! MANY THANKS to our talented and generous instructor.

We left during the cold rain. What were his tips?

He used a rub and marinade, seared 90 seconds on first side, lid closed, 90 seconds on second side, lid closed, then shut the vents down and cooked the steaks another 2 minutes. He let them rest as long as the impatient crowd would allow, and they were just perfect!
Oh and the grill was running at about 650 or more probably. It was cold and wet and I lost track of the temp as I started to smell the steaks. -
His shrimp in the 2010 OKC Iron Chef Comp looked real good, too :cheer:
