Finnaly got th rain out of hear today and cleaned up the Harley a little. It was sooo nice to see the sunset! :woohoo:

Just a really simple cook tonight. Chicken quartes with Dizzy Pigs Redeye and Tsunamia rub basted in EVOO and a red onion in open top foil with the same rub and EVOO. 300 degrees direct on a raised grill with sevel chunks of presimmion wood and a nice fire in the BGE chemeka.

Thats looking really nice
!
We have poop weather too, with rain and snow!
I'm in soup / stew mode and hope to put something together....If it stops raining long enough :(
I have NO roof over my Egg. I really need to do something about that, someday soon! -
Had an Afican Grey for years. Seems as though when it's time to eat, the beverage glass is the go to place. They never seem to mind eating birds. Does this seem odd? I don't know but I sure miss my Grey. Take care of Jake.

That chicken looks awesome

Since we go back from the run last weekend and Jake had to stay in the pen most of the time unless my parents let him out he has been on our shoulder constantly. We are calling him "Cling wrap"!
-
Molly the corn is some of that nuking in a steam bag not the can. Will not touch the can but I absulutly love this kind with the Bomba mixed in. Strangly one of my favorite ways to use the Bomb!
-
Let me explain some'en. Having a roof over the Egg with a sink and running water and a source of heat (I have a BGE chemenia and propain heater along with curtains on the North side) turns the Egg from a week end cook to a outdoor living room. Coupled with my Japanese garden and veranda off the back my wife and I spend more time out there then we do in our own living room.

very Zen and peaceful! -
what does it smell and taste like?
which types of food go best with it?
got a couple of chunks from Cookin Biker, and have friend with a couple of P trees...
Do you make Persimmon Pudding, too?

Jake has been with me for like 23 years. Long before I was married to my wife of 19 years and still running free!lol He is the oldest constant in my life and I will be lost with out him. Since my wifes old girl dog died 4 years ago she has adopted Jake lock, stock, and feather! Sometimes I wish I was a parrot! Grays are so smart and personable. I'm sorry you don't have yours now.
-
Love that set up. I need a hood. Too late this year, but that could be the priority for next summer.
-
It is till I put some BTO, Zephlin or CCR on the Shack speakers! Tonight the coyotes were howeling to a little Allman Brothers. I turned it down to listen to them. Some people don't like them but they are the closest things to a wolf howel we have anymore.

Noticed the bamboo fencing on the right side of pic...would you please post a pic of that
-
:woohoo: love your music choices
-
I pretty much use presimmon all the time. It is what I call a medium wood. Not to hard like hickory but stronger than a lot of fruit woods. Try the wood Molly gave you and PM me if you like it. Never get the fruit as the trees are at our north farm about 80 miles away and the summs (opossums) eat'em green!lol I'll see if I have a pic on computer and if not will take one of fence.
-
Thanks, what meat would you suggest to try with the P wood? -
Just ran out and took a few pics real quick of the fence. BTW is cold!!LOL

Nothing gives a spatchock yard bird better color or flavor! Ask bill lower case
-

Egged chicken rules! My sister-in-law thought rotisserie chicken was the best until she bought an egg. Now she just chuckles when she hears people talking about it at the supermarket,

I do really need to get a roof over head, but that may have to wait until next spring :( !
Roof or NO roof…Regarding music: Lately I’ve been into stuff like “Big Bad Voodoo Daddy” and the “Brian Sitzer (sp?) Orchestra when I need a “fix”! It’s WAY up beat jazz band type of music. Might be that I did a lot of that sort of brass (CTA, Wolverines, B S & T) with bands in the early 70’s…And really love those progressions :woohoo: .
Just bought a trumpet at a garage sale this past summer…I hadn’t played since 1972
, but I’m getting’ her wound up again! Still need to learn to triple tongue though
! -
Still have my Bach but haven't played since '84.!LOL Double was no problem but "tick,ka,tha" a couple times would ty me up!LOL My Shack cost all of about $200 and two days time. Wouldnt trade it for anything!

Looks like good eats!
