and i looked like a star, thanks to all of you eggers! the abt's were a real crowd pleaser. it is always wonderful to serve a little something that is new to everyone at the dinner. abt's were applauded, the three remaining were toted off as trophies. the renegade peppers were in the lot, a few were hotter than hades, but they only spiced up the mix. i made the "traditional north carolina sauce" from the on-line cookbook, mmmmm.. i could do no wrong. the five and a half pound butt cooked in just over nine hours and was as succulent as one could have wished. the polder worked as advertized. thanks again to all you out there who give so willingly of your experiences, i couldn't have done it without you!
