dizzyfied flank steak ala mrs. dog's

did a quick flank steak on the small last night...didn't even pull out the camera. ...simply hit it with a seasoning of dizzy raising the steaks. . .threw some jack daniels chips on the fire and grilled it for about 5 minutes per side direct at around 500 degrees. .. served with fresh corn and avacodo slices. . ..easy peasy. . .

but what took it up even another notch, and shame on me for forgetting that i have this on my shelf sometimes, but i pulled out my bottle of Mrs. Dog's Chipotle Seasoning Salt and put it on the table and sprinkled some on my slices of steak. ..damn that stuff is good on flank steak!! (and other stuff too). ..if you've never had it, GET IT .. ..its just a great compliment on so many thngs, both as a seasoning before you cook and as a finishing salt. . .

in case you don't know "mrs. dog". .aka julie appledog here on the forum, aka julie applegate, is a great egger in her own right and makes a bunch of great products, from her disappearing mustard, to her fantastic jerk sauce. ...give em a try, you won't be sorry!! here's a link to her site. ..

    LOL. ..well, sometimes i think julie flies under the radar around here. ..she deserves a little more "dap". ..her stuff is awfully good, and i'm betting all the newbies have never even heard of her!!

    Probably right, she has added some new products I see. I buy her mustard by the case for Christmas presents and her jerk sauce is good enough to make it not worth making homemade. -RP

    I put her jerk sauce underneath the skin of a spatchcock chicken the night before egging and it's out of this world :side: .

    I'm addicted to her pistachio nuts and buy her hot sauce by the case.
