Shakin’ the Butterflies

Kind of stumbled bass-ackwards into this one. I spent practically the whole 4th of July weekend at 4ara’s drink’n beer, blow’n stuff up & try’n to burn the gasket off his large. Anyway, his lovely wife made a very tasty lemon pasta at the same time I was making boneless thighs with DP Shakin the Tree. On the plate together, I ended up cutting the chicken & mixing it into the pasta, what an unbelievable combination.
To make, rub the thighs in olive oil then coat heavily in the rub, cook indirect until finished. For the pasta, combine lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, hot pepper flakes, salt, pepper, locatelli & lots of fresh basil, toss into cooked farfalle (butterfly) pasta. Chop up the chicken & toss everything together.
This can be served hot or cold.
Please try this, “it will be worth it, if not for this song, then, for the sake of your own peace of mind” (fist one who names that lyric wins a big prize  ):

Sorry for the usual questions.......
Indirect ? What dome temp and internal temp ? Were the thighs boneless ?
What is locatelli ? No garlic in the pasta ?
This dish looks tasty and the bad thing pasta is like potato chips, can never have enough. Pasta for me is a delicacy lately, I can eat lots of it.
Thanks for the recipe. My Brasilian Brother is coming next month and he will enjoy this as well.

Gary, I did these indirect at 400 degrees, but only because I had other stuff going on & couldn't keep an eye on it; I used boneless/skinless thighs, & yes, Pete is correct, Locatelli is a brand of pecorino cheese, sorry 'bout thathappy in the hut

Perfect timing. I have been wanting to get a lot of heavy yard work out of the way. He can work a shovel can't he. I know FlaPoolman frequently says no one shovels it like Bubba Tim.
Man, I guess I just showed my age!!Larry

Brian, give it a try; its one I bought but wasn't too enthused about (not a big lemon pepper fan & that's what it says on the jar), but, it really doesn't taste like you would expect & is rather delicious, having put it on chicken now a few times it has moved into pole position for chicken cooks, its that goodhappy in the hut
