Just got an email from Sam's. For delivery only, the large egg, with the nest and the wooden mates for $698.00.

Yup, old news and no BGE warranty. Do a search and you will find quite a bit of talk about it.
Good price though if the warranty isn't an issue for you. BTW - Sam's warranty is not BGE's warranty.

Does that include shipping cost? I doubt it, last time I looked shipping was very expensive.

How much is the delivery ? If the cost is greater then the cost of the EGG, the nest and the wooden mates at a dealer then buy it from the dealer. It's the dealer who is the one knows more about the EGG then Sams. Also the warranty is important.
One thing I don't understand is why BGE is allowing this to happen or are they complicit with this.
Who is going to protect the dealers ?

Is that really the price for a large? In the midst of my ongoing wannabe egghead frenzy, I picked up the large, nest, no mates, platesetter, ash tool, ashpan and a 20# bag of BGE lump for $1100 after 6% Michigan sales tax.
A few friends who are BBQ Geeks have been drooling over my results and I might be able to recruit a few new eggheads, especially at a discount.
Any links to posts or info on warranty differences would be greatly appreciated.

Just enter it in the search forum link.

I just checked out sams website. Shipping is 319.64 plus tax. That comes out to way more than what i paid for mine. Much better off with a local dealer.

From the BGE website:There are no authorized internet retailers for Big Green Egg products. Purchasing any Big Green Egg product from an internet source will void the warranty associated with that product. To purchase a Big Green Egg please contact a dealer in your area. Use our dealer locator to find the authorized dealers closest to you. Many dealers offer delivery options if needed. If you do not have a dealer conveniently located, contact Big Green Egg at 770-934-5300 for more information.
We have been made aware that Big Green Egg grills are being sold in some Sam’s Clubs across the country as well as on their website. Sam’s Club is not an authorized dealer of Big Green Egg products. Purchasing a Big Green Egg from any internet vendor, including Sam’s Club, violates our internet policies. -
