Three days of pretty much all comfort food, grilled chicken quarters with squash and polenta, home made lamb sausage and refried beans the next night, and a shrimp stir fry on Sunday.

Agreed--it was a good weekend for cooking
Nice looking dishes you did there! -
That's what I call mixing up the menu! Great meals and terrific photos Wayne. I wokked a spicy pork tenderloin dish myself last night. Mark

I usually operate better on the KISS method. The lamb sausage looks great and good to see the Texas pickles on the beans.LBGE Katy (Houston) TX

Everything looks great and the lamb sausage looks fantastic! There is something I'd like to try.
'Twas a comfort food weekend for me also with cold, wet weather up here in Appleton. I know you had wind and cold as well, only much more so. -
I used a Mongolian recipe for the sausage, it's pretty spicy with cayenne. I cut the lamb 50:50 with pork to insure moistness, but still keep the lamb flavor. Here it the test link the day I made it.

Looks really nice Wayne. You going to bring some of that talent to Denver? If you drive I can make a run to Chigger Creek and get you some nice smoking wood.

Nice!!! I loved the first picture, with the polenta.

Mighty fine looking cooks there.
I especially like the chicken, that is just pretty.

You know Mike, if I do come I will definitely drive, I may try to do a customer show and tell in Cheyenne on Friday. So I'll keep the wood offer in mind, that would be great.
I've never been to one of these shindigs, and wouldn't even know what to bring.....(The closest I've been is seeing the insides of Julie Appledog's comp box). I'm thinking I would just be better off watching the masters at work.Happy Trails~thirdeye~Barbecue is not rocket surgery
