Just finished one of the finest weekends that I've had since the first eggfest in Atlanta. YB, Jslot, Spin, Julie Appledog, Kenny G, Rhum and jerk, Brenda Miller, me and of course Mr Toad gathered at the great lilly pad in Valdese NC Friday night and all day saturday. Each brought his own great style and and cooked their favorites. The food (pictures should follow as soon as spin gets home) was beyond belief, the fellowship was wonderful and the bluegrass band saturday night rocked. Mrs YB, Mrs Spin, Mrs Toad and Mrs Colonel, and Brenda did a great job of keeping things in line.
Kenny G--WEINERS!!! and Steaks!!!
YB--Tomato and onion pies/watermelon rind wrapped in bacon/stuffed cabbage
Spin--Pizza and the best sweetbread that has crossed this fat boy's lips in a while.
Jslot--Ribs
Colonel--Pulled Pork
Jappledog--Shrimp (to die for)and famous Milwakee
Rhum and Jerk--chicken poppikosh(Michael please excuse the spelling) on a bed of noodles that you just have to imagine.
Mr Toad--his famous pork loin with pineapple
I'm sure I have forgotton something (please forgive) but I had to let you all know about this one.

It was a great weekend, Mike. It was great seeing everyone again and enjoying a great time at the best pad in the pond. Mr Toad and Alyce know how to make you feel at home. Great food, great friends, and a whole lotta Eggin'

What a GREAT weekend....I can't remember having anymore fun than we did at Toadfest.It was a real pleasure meeting you and Dee and can't hardly wait until Eggtoberfest gets here....Maybe we can talk KennyG into cooking his famous hot dogs in Atlanta.We might start a new fad...Hot Dogs and Mint Juleps
