TONIGHT'S COOK: mini-burgers
Beanie-Bean
Posts: 3,092
Well, the grill pan I normally use for sliders is in dire need of a good cleaning and seasoning, so I did the mini-burgers direct instead. Here they are being finished up with the sauce (Sweet Baby Ray's original)

Dang Mike. What you going to feed the kids?!! You'll eat them your self!! :P See you felt guilty for not cooking for them last night and have to attone tonight! That been dip on the side?
-
those look great Mike. I wish my kids would eat burgers.

I LOVE those Hawaiian sweet rolls for sliders and mini-philly cheese steaks! The sweet flavor tastes great!Knoxville, TN

You still playing checkout? It is almost 9:30pm?

Very good eye there...my son broke out the bean dip and the mini tostitos to go with his burgers. That stuff is pretty good, but I had some beans from last night with mine.
-
Thanks, Rod--I wish my kids would eat more vegetables
It's almost painful to watch them try to put some away sometimes. Hehe... -
Yes, the kids are spoiled with the Hawaiian bread rolls. Sometimes I'll buy a loaf of bread and end up eating just a few slices. But the Hawaiian rolls are always gone!
Never thought about doing some Philly cheesesteaks with that...I'm usually grabbing a nice french bread or a baguette for smaller cheesesteaks. I will have to remember that when I do some next time. -
Thanks for checking out the post, guys. I've been preoccupied with other things non-barbecue/BGE as of late, but am trying to get back into cooking and posting more.
Plus, it keeps me away from having to spend on restaurants
-
I will agree...I like 'em either way. Sometimes the grill pan/slider version has less of a smoky taste...just depends how much grease falls off the pan.
-
Those look tasty! How big of difference is there on the buns between the Hawaiian sweet and the Savory butter?
-
You know, I can't really say that there is a big difference in taste. I think that my wife may have grabbed the wrong ones by mistake. Either way, they were gone pretty quickly!
I'll make a note to remember to get both next time, that way I can report up the differences. -
Nice sliders Mike I bet all liked them.

I didn't even know there was more than one choice.
-
Ross,
They're gone! hehe... -
I like the looks of the sliders, but have never done them. How many for an average adult serving?LBGE Katy (Houston) TX

Hey there Mike they look awesome. They had to go real fast. Every time I make sliders I make them to big for the bun. Just can't get myself to make them the right size.
-
Hey B-Man!
I usually do three or four. -
That's OK--they're good no matter what size they are, right? hehe...take care, man!
