I smoked 8 pounds of beef jerky and 12 pounds of buckboard bacon yesterday. The jerky is for a couple of young adult nephews who have never had anything except the packaged stuff (and for their dad and me, too). I did a buckboard bacon for us a few weeks ago, and was thrilled with the results. I had never done jerky before, and again, thrilled with the results. High Mountain seasonings products are great. Thanks to Thirdeye for pointing me in their direction.

  • I concur. Thanks to Thirdeye's website, I have made an enormous new veriety of cooks, but you can not beat the buckboard bacon. I have another loin in the fridge curing as we speak, two corned beefs for pastrami, salmon to smoke and an eye of the round for roast beef sandwiches. Hail to the cheif!!!!

I still haven't made the jerky.
