The Case Of The Missing Big\'uns Sauce
Beli
Posts: 10,751
Got back to business yesterday and put a Brisket in at 6:00 pm. The afternoon was nice & cool

The cook went uneventful and pulled at 5:00 am today at an internal temp of 190 and the egg keeping a stable 200 dome temp during all this time

Admiring my handle thanks to Canadian Mike

Due to a late change of plans I am having to keep the brisket practically all day before taking it to a friends party tonight..Canadian Steve suggested cutting it and adding Big'uns Sauce...at 5:00 am Big'uns sauce was nowhere to be found...searched the entire place and no Sauce....I panicked.
thought the worst.......In the end I used another BBQ sauce... :( ...sorry with all this early morning stress forgot to take the brisket photo when ready :pinch:

My wife woke up eventually and searched frantically for it... after a few agonizing moments..she found it at the very back of the fridge....silly maid must have pushed it back all the way....

Really happy now will save it for another time :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

........ACTUALLY I WISHED IT HAD BEEN THE MISSING OF THE "CASE" OF BIG'UNS SAUCE THAN THE "CASE" OF THE MISSING BIG'UNS SAUCE. ANYWAY....

Gosh! It's hard to focus on the sauce when your pics are so lovely! Glad you found it!

Great pictures as always. Looks like you will still have a great meal and you have Big'uns sauce for later.
Enjoy,
Bordello -

Instead of shipping that stuff all over, why not just post the recipe so we can all make it?
-
Beli, like I told you last week I LOVE to see the pictures you take of your home. They are breath-taking! I hope you find that case of Todd's sauce because I can never keep the jar for more than a day before I use it. Thanks to Car Wash Mike I have some Blues Hog as a back-up and plan to use some of it today for some BBQ pizza I'll make using some pulled-pork I have from earlier in the week.
-
send me some sir! I would be much obliged and would gladly pay you for it. I enjoy trying new sauces...exspecially homemade sauces that folks have.
You are in jackson aren't you? I like some fresh-air bbq! -

Hey Teddy TKS...Don't know if you have seen this..

Okay,
1) start with a gallon of swamp water
2)add 1 qrt battery acid
3) Mix 2 cups of ketchup
4) Add S&P as needed until it tastes good.
5) Add 1 lb of foomunda cheese.
Enjoy! -

Did you know there was the St. Patrick's Battalion who fought as part of the mexican army. Many of the battalion's members deserted or defected from the U.S. Army. Primarily made up of Irish and German immigrants, the battalion also included Canadians, English, French, Italians, Poles, Scots, Spaniards, native Mexicans and Swiss, mainly Roman Catholics.
So as a Celt you are most welcome... but so is practically any other European nationality  & Americans of course -
I'll add your area of Mexico to my Bucket List..
After all of you want authentic Mexican food, go to Mexico
