EGGCELLENT lookin ribz Mike!!..Red Eye is one of my fav DP rubs..for some reason never thought about trying it on ribs..how'd they turn out??..think I'll try SV too cuzz I like it very much also...I've used the JH pecan before and they were really good...great pix! :woohoo:

Hey Mike they look real good. You have to love the way the egg can cook ribs. I love my adj rig I use it all the time.

Redeye was pretty good on the ribs...a bit bolder flavor when compared to the Pecan Rub.

Thanks, Mike. I think that the adj. rig will just stay in that cooker, and I'll leave the other one setup with the cast iron grate. It took a few times to get the spider/baking stone setup right for indirect cooks, because the airflow is different. What I've noticed is that the 2nd LBGE has a smaller fire ring and more of a gap than the first one I got. Had lots of problems with temp control and smoke leakage on the maiden voyage yesterday, but it eventually settled down to 250°.
It was a great cook to break in the cooker. -
