ABT's

Can ABT's be re-heated. I want to make some on my BGE and take them to a get together later on in the afternoon at a friend's house. [p]If yes, what is the best way to do it?? Also, can they be frozen??

Chris, hmmm, good question. I've never had any to get to the stage where they needed reheating. I would be suspect about trying to freeze them. A better solution might be to cook them until almost ready (5 minutes away). Then put them into a pan, cover with foil and cool in refrigerator. Take them to the friend's house, crank up his oven to about 450 and put the uncovered pan in the oven. This should warm and finish the cooking in about 15 minutes.

Wise One,
Thanks. I'll give it a try and post results unless someone else posts a method that they have been successful with.

Wise One,
I have done this the way you suggested and it works well. My only suggestion is to make sure the pan used for reheating is a shallow one. I used a wire rack in the pan with good success.

BarbieQ,
I'm cooking dunce so for my benefit, what is the reason for using a shallow pan? Is it to avoid a steaming effect?
-
Chris,
Yes, this allows better browning on all sides vs. steaming.

Chris,[p]I always have leftover ABT. I microwave them to reheat. Still not as great as they are fresh from the grill, but works just fine.

Chris,
DANG!!! I was hoping someone else would show their 'iggnerance' and ask (what's an ABT?) But looks like I'm the one to show mine;-( Whatizzit? Bob
