Thanks to Michael B, Englishman-in-NJ, and Doug-123 for sound advice. We had 20 people over yesterday evening and I cooked 9 racks of baby backs yesterday on a Large Egg topped off with a homemade sauce. The were the best I have done yet and they disappeared to great reviews. Thanks again for the help.

Same here! I cook what I think is an ample amount of ribs and the next day there's nothing left but a heap of bones!! Oh well, guess I shouldn't be complaining... 8 - )~~~

How are you cooking 9 racks on a L?

I put three racks on the main grate. I used a grill extender with a V-Rack, filled all the slots and laid one rack across the top of the V-Rack. Nine is really too many and it took awhile to get the temp regulated because of the restricted air flow. Because of the overhang beyond the Platesetter, small end sections of two racks were too charred, so I ate those. Seven racks would have been perfect. Several of the guests said they were the best they have had.
