Some of us think of it as the war for southern Independence. And yes taxes are higher in S. C. , pay roll, autos. , etc. Big T is right. Taxes in Tenn. are much less. I should have stayed in K. town.

im origionally from newhampshire, probably the only state with no income or sales tax or bottle deposit and cheap liquor prices. there is a prepared food tax, but not on groceries, thats just insane

I like that tax structure. Cept cheap liquor. We sorta make our own.

grew up in NH too.
no sales tax, only on prepared food (5% i think still).

that's it. oh. except my brother (derry NH) pays more than three or four times what i pay in real estate taxes (we live in MA).

all comes out in the wash.

In Canada we are double taxed on all sales(Provincial and Federal)as wll as hefty income and property tax. Bout the only thing we're not taxed on is unprepared food.
