Tonight is my second night to cook on my LBGE. I was a bit rushed for ribs but I thought I'd try anyway. The video I received with my Egg showed the guy cooking ribs @ 250-300 for 3 hrs. This was my model and they turned out OK in my opinion. I really like my ribs to be very juicy and difficult to pick up w/o the bone pulling out clean. Tonight they had a great flavor but were slightly tougher and drier than I like.
I cooked over indirect heat except for the last 45 minutes or so. Then I basted them for the last 15. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks Jo Jo

need to try the 3-2-1 method and you will never look back. remember the EGG is a learn from trying and tasteing ,because only you know what you like .( or should I say only she knows what you like)

Oh man...you don't even have to work that hard. These are BB's. Do a 3-1-1. Or just a 3-1-sauce. And you might be a little high on the temp. 225-250* is high enough. 3-2-1 is for Spares IMHO.

And don't be rushed. The meat is done when the meat is done...patience, Grasshopper.

I don't think you have smoked them long enough. I usually do mine for 5 to 6 hours at 250/260 dome temp. The temp between dome thermometer and grid surface can vary by 30/35 degrees. I cook mine indirect on a 2 tiered raised grid system. I don't do the foiled thing because I'm lazy. Try giving yourself more time for your next cook. Good luck, Tom
