Help - I can't open my egg

I mistakenly left the fire burning to cook off excess food from the rack. Of course, I forgot to shut it down, and it burned for a while, I guess pretty darn hot. When I discovered my goof up this morning, I could not open the egg. It seems to have burned/heated itself closed. What to do? Torch the rim, to heat it? Cut thru with a razor and replace the seal? Any advise appreciated. Tom

Tom,[p]Hi Tom,[p]If you have any lump left in the egg, go through the vent door at the bottom and light the leftover lump from below. If not, and if she burned overnight there likely is no lump leftover, drop some lump in through the top onto the grill. Light it and let the egg heat up a bit. Keep trying to open it as it gets hotter until she opens for you. Your gasket will be cooked so you'll have to replace it but you will be able to open it anyway.[p]Good luck,[p]John

Tom,[p]Don't pull too hard. It should come apart with just a little bit more than normal opening force. If you pull on it before it is ready to come apart you can damage the ceramic.[p]John

AZRP,[p]Excellent. Did you just heat it back up and gently ease the dome and base apart or did you do something different? [p]John

I had lump left over so I used a starter cube through the bottom vent. It opened right up at just over 400 degrees. -RP
