Just getting ready to put on a Papa Murphy's Pizza. Should we use the baking tray that comes with it or not?

    EagerEgger,
Think of your Egg as an oven, and just follow the directions on the box. Be sure to give the Egg plenty of time to stabilize the temp, and make sure that it is burning clean. -RP

  • EagerEgger, I put a Papa Murphy Cowboy Pizza on my large Big Green Egg last night. My plan was to bring the temp up to 500 degrees, put the pizza on with the cardboard tray, let it cook for five or six minutes, then take it out, separate the partly cooked pizza from the tray and place it back on the pizza stone. It didn't work out that way. I put it back, with the tray and let her go to the 15 minute level. The crust wasn't nice and crisp but the next time it will be better. I'm really pleased that the cardboard tray could sustain temps up to 500 degrees.
