Hi Eggheads,
I was wondering if anyone has pulled off cooking 20+ pizzas for a total of 13 couples. Next weekend I plan to do just that. We are having a Sunday School Social at our home. My wife bragged so much about my homeade pizza's she is having guests over to show them the wonderful BGE. I plan to keep it simple just pepperoni and cheese only as the options available. Guests will also be served garden salad and homeade brownies egged style and ice cream on top :=) Any advice suggestions appreciated.[p]Happy Egging, Pharmeggist

Pharmeggist,[p]Never 20 ..... but for 8 or so we make the all the crusts and put them on pizza screens and stack in the fridge. The hard part is over. You might opt for the the disposable screens. Then prepare enough different toppings for 6 or 8 different kinds of pizzas. After that it is an assembly line. Building, cooking etc. The pizzas cook on the screens. Rotate guests to the kitchen so they can make their favorites.[p]Have a big enough variety and fixins for white pizzas, (chicken and seafood), all cheese & herb ones and the rest meat. Sounds like a blast.[p]~thirdeye~

Pharmeggist,[p]I saw someone do this at Eggtoberfest years ago. He had all the crusts ready to go and all ingredients well prepped. Like thirdeye says, do all the prep ahead of time so you're just operating on an assembly line. Even at just 5 minutes per pizza you're still talking about 1.5 hours of cooking if you do 20, so speed and efficiency will be key. Also, that's a long time to cook at high temps so load up with plenty of fuel.[p]That does sound like a lot of fun. My dad and I did 4 back-to-back a couple weekends ago and had a blast. Best of luck - I'm sure you'll be a hit![p]TRex[p]P.S. - You may want to set up a fan next to your Egg because I guarantee you you'll be sweating up a storm after cooking that many pizzas!

    Pharmeggist,
Just a thought but unless you are feeding some VERY hungry people I think 13 pizza's (one pizza per couple) would be more than enough. Try two pizza stones with a stacking grid so you can do two at a time. I love the Mama Mary's premade crusts and Dei Fratelli premade sauce, then just add the meat and cheese that you would like. I would make sure that you have more than one style of pizza, its easy just have hamburger, canadian bacon, pepperoni, sausage and whatever other meat you would want to have. This can all be pre cooked days before the event so it is easy to do. Good luck, it will be fun.
