Just wanted to say thanks to all who post here, after reviewing this forum I made the transition to the BGE. What a dream these units are to cook on, I will admit I was skeptical even after buying a large BGE a couple weeks ago. But, after firing it up for the first time last Saturday I've cooked dinner on it 5 of the last 8 nights and I am convinced this is one of the best cookers on the market. Can't wait to do some pork butt, ribs, and fatties. The only complaint I have is that I want to spend all my time cooking now!

    Jason in MN,
Don't worry too much, you will get over it and only cook on it 5 to 6 days a week, enjoy. -RP

I bought my first Egg in Feb, a medium, I liked it so much I went a bought a large last month. I have seven BBQ's and now I hardly even look at the others, let alone use them.
  • Hamilton,[p]I know what you mean - I have 3 different Weber units, I usually cook 4-5 times during a week on a grill or smoker but now my Weber gas grill is collecting dust. I am really looking forward to doing some slow cooking, after using a WSM for 2 years and fighting the weather I can't wait to relax with the egg.[p]As a side note last night I cooked pork chops with some nasty wind - with my gas grill it would have been a chore but once the egg was lit it was all smooth sailing.
