My wife is out of town so I decided to do some burgers...I ground up some chuck and threw in a hot link for fun...
[p]
Then I spiced them up a little!
[p]
I also made some chipotle/jalapeno butter and rubbed it on some fresh corn.[p]
[p]
Then I threw everything on the egg
[p]
Everything cooked like I wanted
[p]
And everything tasted like I wanted!!!

icemncmth,[p]Interesting that you use the plate setter for grilling burgers. Also, next time try ground brisket. Works great!

icemncmth,[p]I second B's comment on using the plate setter here. I would think you'd want cook the burgers direct. Did you use this setup because of the corn or is it something else (like maybe you get juicier burgers this way)?

B,[p]I use ground briskett when I can ..I just had some chuck that was just sitting in the fridge...[p]As for the plate setter...I have cooked them indirect and direct...sometimes I like the indirect because I am more roasting and smoking than anything...Gives the meat a more tender texture...
-
BeerMike,[p]I used Havarti....that and munster are my two fav's on burgers..
-
Big Hoser,[p]I have cooked burgers ...direct..direct/raised grill
indirect, indrect raised grill..[p]there is a difference when you do indirect...the texture of the meat is a little better...I indirect at 400 deg..
