Beef Tenderloin Stir Fry for Two[p]Ingredients;
Beef tenderloin, whole, well trimmed, about 4"[p]Marinade for meat:
2 tablespoons tamari soy sauce
1 tablespoon peanut oil
2 teaspoons rice vinegar
8 drops of sesame oil
1 small garlic clove, minced[p]1/2 cup onion
1/2 cup mushroom
1/4 cup carrot
1/4 cup pepper (red or green)
1 1/2 cup broccoli
1/4 cup water mixed with 2 teaspoons corn starch[p]Peanut oil
Tamari soy sauce
Cayenne powder[p]Boiled rice [p]

Get your best knife razor sharp and slice tenderloin into 1/8 strips across the grain. Toss the meat into marinade using fingers and allow the meat to soak up the marinade.[p]

[p]Ok, here we go. This is fast, fun and delicious. The secret is to get prep work done and ingredients on a tray lined up in the order they are tossed into the wok. [p]Boil rice and set aside.[p]In the mean time, wash and chop fresh vegetables.
In separate bowls on tray, going clockwise, line bowls up in the order that they are cooked starting at the 2:00 with meat, then onion with mushrooms, then carrot with pepper, then broccoli, then peanut oil and soy sauce at 12:00. Place the water and corn starch mixture in the center. Don't forget a stir fry paddle![p]Ok, everything is ready for the wok. Get your wok very hot, pour in about a good tablespoon of peanut oil, swirl it around with the paddle and carefully add the meat. Sizzle, stir, stir. Cook just until the meat is a little pink and spoon back out into its bowl. Add a little peanut oil to the wok and, going clockwise in order, add the bowl of onion with mushrooms. Sizzle, stir, stir. Add the carrot with pepper. Sizzle, stir, stir. Add the broccoli, stir, stir. Lightly dust cayenne powder if you want a kick. Now add a few shakes of soy sauce to flavor and steam vegetables. Sizzle, stir, stir. Add the meat back, stir the water and corn starch mixture up and add this to the wok. Sizzle, stir, stir. The tenderloin is finishing up and when you see that it's not pink anymore..... you're done![p]

Serve with rice, Kikkoman less sodium soy sauce, tea, beer or wine.
Eat well, my friends,
Clay [p][p][p]

ClayQ,
man, that looks great. . .and that was a great play by play as well....one question. .. i was always told to put the food in by length of time to cook. .. . so i usually put the mushrooms in near the end as they don't take as long as the carrots or peppers....do you like the shrooms in there longer? . ..just curious. .. . [p]i gotta do this now. . ..i just licked the screen!!!

ClayQ,
Not fair!! I just finished lunch which consisted of a slice of cold pizza as I am busy working on the house. Now I go see your BEAUTIFUL pics of what you ate and now I'm hungry again.
Everyday is Saturday and tomorrow is always Sunday. -

ClayQ, beautiful, just bee-u-tee-full! I dig the cleaver; it is my favorite utensil -- good weight and plenty of blade. For the ingredients, I've switched from small bowls to throw away paper boats, no clean up. [p]Listed below is a link for the boats from Acemart. For anyone interested, they also carry woks and cleavers.....[p]Keep the pictures coming.....[p]tom[p]

ClayQ,
Looking awesome. Will put on my list of things to do. Thanks for the tip on paper boats. Another excellent idea!
