of all the stuff i tried at eggtoberfest, one of the top three things i tried was the chocolate chip kahlua cake made by mrs. squeeze. .. the stuff was just fantastic. .. so i made one at home last night that was most eggsellent, and the family just went nuts over it!!!. . ..THANKS TAMMY!!!!!! ... [p]for those interested, here is the recipe. ..its so easy its ridiculous, and again, just fantastic. ...[p]1 box german chocolate cake mix
1 package instant chocolate pudding
1 pint sour cream
3/4 cup oil
4 eggs
1/3 cup kahlua
1/2 bag chocolate chips[p]set up egg for an indirect cook
stabalize at 350 degrees and make sure there is no smoke (this may take a while, but you need a really clean fire)
mix everthing together
grease bundt pan and pour mix into the pan (i sprayed mine with 'bakers secret')
bake at 350 degrees for 50 - 55 minutes. . .[p]thats it, simple and fantastic results. .. .[p]mad "cake maker" max

    because i am disiplined enough to eat in moderation. .. .a slice of cake was fine after simply having a bowl of soup with cheese and an apple for dinner :)[p]i was very proud of myself. .. even with all ate and drank at eggtoberfest, i only gained 1/2 pound between last thursday's and yesterday's weigh-ins. .. and my BGL's were very good (in the low 'teens') all weekend long. .. .[p]btw. .. .we missed you down there buddy. . . .

    How funny. My wife and I have used almost that exact recipe for years, and it's always a hit. But I never thought to egg it. I must be a moron.

    Max...[p]I saw this early this morning and told Tammy about it and she laughed so hard. Not at you of course but for the fact that she was mentioned on the forum. I finally got her to sit down and look through the forum and who knows, maybe she will actually post some day...haha. She said to tell you thanks for the kind words. We are glad your family liked the cake, I think it is a keeper as well. Funny thing when we got home on Sunday, she already started planning what desserts to do for next year.     I too also jumped on the bandwagon of this awesome tasting cake, made a special trip to the store just because we couldn't stop thinking of it! Can't wait to show it off...people can't believe this kind of stuff can be cooked on something called an EGG!!! They just don't get it.
