Best ham for Egret's recipe suggestions.

Nothing around here special. I used to like the Kirkland Master Slicer from Costco but they no longer offer a whole ham. Anyone have a go to, or special occasion cooked ham they like a lot?

    cooks, corando, aldis if you have one nearby.  aldis has the best deals, its as good as the others, maybe a little less salty.  butt section is better than the shank, pick the one with the smallest fat cap.  these are the best low dollar hams, you dont want to buy an expensive ham for this...you dont want to buy expensive ham anyways ;) those three are all relatively mild hams

    We do have Aldi's. I'll check it out. No I didn't want to order a heritage at $12/lb for this recipe. The things at Kroger's and Meijer's are pumped with water and salt. Thanks.

    about 7 dollars will get you a 10 pound ham =)
