Found this recommendation on the bge Instagram feed a few weeks back, and was a real crowd pleaser!
Set up grill indirect at 350
Use pepper holder (or fashion one yourself like I did, to raise the cones off of the grill)
Take a waffle cone, fill with toppings (we used chocolate and peanut butter chips)
Top with a marshmallow or two
Let it cook for 5-7 minutes
Enjoy!

We do the same thing, except spread peanut butter on the inside of the cone, and fill with mini marshmallows and mini chocolate chips.MMBGE / Large BGE / XL BGE (Craigslist Find) / SF30x80 cabinet trailer - "Ol' Mortimer" / Outdoor kitchen in progress.

We did these camping a few months back. I added bananas, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries. The mini marshmallows did better with all that fruit in there.

I tried these twice. Seemed like a great idea. Simple, too. But I never was satisfied with the melt I got out of the marshmallows nor the candies. I think next time I will use marshmallow fluff and see if it is a better melty consistancy that I would favor.

Oh wow... Thanks for the idea. My kids would love these. 3 year old twins and they love begging to flip food on our eggs. Marshmallows are disgusting but they would kill a grown man for some!!

I used my wing rack for my cones tonight. Spread peanut butter on inside cone with layer of mini chocolate chips, layer of mini marshmallows, more chips, more marshmallows, and just a wee bit more chocolate. Boy were these fantastic! I think the key is using mini chips and marshmallows for a good melt. My daughter assisted with topping off with more chips at the end!
