Warranty Registration ( Can't find S/N, Large New model)

Trying to register LBGE and can't locate the S/N.  Tried looking at rear of dome above gasket and hinge but just can't see anything.  We even brushed and cleaned???  Nothing there.

Any advice other than instructions on BGE site.  I followed them.....

Thanks

I called my dealer where I bought the BGE and he told me that the new eggs don't have a s/n?  That he keeps the records and does the warranty work.  I don't have a warranty issue but wanted to register online with BGE base to keep my lifetime warranty in place.  Don't mind my dealer handling the warranty and they have been around a long time, but I just wonder what happens should they decide to pack up and close.

Just don't lose the receipt. Registered or not the dealer will want to see it in the event you need a warranty.

I saw a serial number, or number anyway, under the gasket on the rim when I replaced my gasket.

@Troykahack...make multiple copies of your receipt and stash for safe keeping. The day may come that you need to make use of the warranty. Used to be Eggs came with a green registration card. Just having the card in your possession would be enough for Bruce @BGE to start the warranty.  Either way, hold onto the receipt....your dealer may have a computer crashed and lose his records...you may end up moving....you just never know...

I would give BGE headquarters a call.  According to the web site the egg has to be registered in order to file a warranty claim.  You can also try email but in the past they are not great about responding to inquiries via email.

FWIW I never found a serial number on either of my eggs from 2010.  I registered them using a card that was mailed in back then and it didn't require a S/N.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I called BGE headquarters and was transferred by a real person to a line that said to leave you name and number an they would call back later.  Sorta same as email I suppose.  I have multiple copies of receipt.  Dealer says no longer have s/n's, BGE site says on rear of inside dome, ABOVE gasket and hinge.  Not under gasket.  One says under gasket.  Not pulling gasket to find s/n at this point.   BGE sites says you must register online.  I think BGE site needs a bit of updating.

    FWIW...

I just did a warranty claim with my dealer for a fire box. I had "registered"online but without an actual number, just put in my info. This was about 18 months ago when I got my egg.

Dealer just asked for pictures, sent via email, and a week later my box was in. All I provided anyone was a picture of the cracked part.

Bought mine from an eggfest in N. GA.  That dealer is way too far away for me to handle any warranty issues.  Thankfully, there is an awesome dealer that I've dealt with that has stepped up and earned my business.  I'll take the hour-plus drive.....

I was able to register online as required by BGE without a s/n.  I just put NONE in the field used for the s/n.  Got confirmation email.
