Strip loin, crack&cheese, bacon wrapped beans

So I accidentally picked up a strip loin that was intermingled with the ribeye roasts at RD, boy talk about not paying attention! Still didn't notice at checkout register either!Herr, Derr! Just realized yesterday after thawing.
The good news is, I still cooked it prime rib style, and it killed, just not as juicy, but still killer. Used amazingribs.Com recipe for prime rib, and strip loin, crack&cheese also from amazingribs.Com, plus bacon wrapped beans coated in a glaze of butter, s&p, brown sugar, brushed on and baked in oven.
Strip loin is coated with coarse s&p, Garlic Dude dust,And Miners mix rub, cooked at 250 until 110 internal, then flame seared until 125 internal, pulled off egg and sliced, family wrecked it. Note to self, read labels twice, three times. I picked up so many to choose from, that's where I mistakenly picked up strip loin, they are right next to the rib roasts, aND look similar. It was still outstanding meat, kinda good mistake, with a great turnout. Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year Eggheads.

That's not a mistake. It's called variety. Great looking meal and I'm sure you had some very happy guest.
Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.

I wish I could screw up that well.

I actually bought a strip loin to cook INSTEAD of a rib roast. My butcher had them at 6.99/lb and he went a picked me out a nice marbled one from the cooler. Ended up being 13lbs and I did like you and cooked it like a prime rib. Was great.
