I just don't. I like hanging them better. We've done several of each and just prefer this. The alum balls under his legs are just proping them up a little. Plow boys and Everglades as usual for seasoning.
Really just checking in, as I've been stupid busy with the new job. Long hours and dealing with customers sucks. But so does breathing in bondo dust and paint all day. It'll work out I guess. We will just have to get used to late suppers.

Lots of ways to cook a bird. Looks good. Hopefully, as you get settled in it slows down.

I like to change up the way I do my birds as well. If/when you get a chance I would like to see a picture of the hangar and how it's attached to the egg. Thanks.Large and Small BGECentral, IL

Great looking chicken. Love the vertical roaster. I have a set of different sizes that will do turkey, chicken, Cornish hens, etc. Until he has time to make you one, you can get this set. I've had mine for about 30 years. Crappy website, but the product is good. http://spanek.com/roaster/roasters.php

i too like to change it up when i do a yard bird. i have two of these from my old weber gasser and they are irreplaceable. i half a lemon and put it juice side down over the four prongs (instead of their cheesy cap) then insert the chicken on top of it and the thing falls apart when i pull it off. and so juicy!!!

Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
