My question's a bit of a cheat . . .
because it's not really about a table, but it fits better in this category than in any other:
We're in the planning stage of building a new house. We're adapting a stock plan to our own needs. One of our favorite features is a big screened porch across the back of the house . . . but the plan includes an outdoor kitchen INSIDE the screen porch. Does this sound like a good idea? A grill INSIDE a screen porch?
What if we include ventilation?
Other thoughts?

Just have the mechanical end of the plans have specs drawn in for a hood.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

I would NEVER install a grill on a wooden surface, or with a roof, if these were attached to my house. Maybe a freestanding gazebo away from the house, but nothing close. Heard of too many houses destroyed by grill fires.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

@Carolina Q I didn't see mention of wood flooring/decking. Could be concrete. Mine is on a deck. If I had my way it would be in a self-contained OD Kitchen but, I'm not Rockefeller so I am happy with what I've got. A little common sense goes a long ways. One of my biggest reasons for a SS table was longevity and less likely to have a fire issue (I am still very proactive and safety conscientious). As long as it is specd for it go for it I say. You could go an anal step above and have a hood with Ansul installed. To be perfectly clear I'm talking commercial here not a HD or Lowe's BS hood.

You may not need a hood since it is outside but heat will carry fine particles up to the ceiling above cookers and you will have grease collect over time.

How about just making the outdoor kitchen just outside the screened in porch with a roof on to so you can grill while it is raining. That's what I would like, but like what @NPHuskerFL said, I'm not Rockefeller. A hood or a way to hook it to vent pipe to the outside would be the way to go. Have you asked your builder about this? They should have an idea. Your paying them a lot of money, I would ask them what may be best.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.
