Well, I am cooking my first whole chicken. I'm trying to prepare myself for that turkey in a few weeks. I started off with a smaller bird. 4lbs. I'm doing it with direct heat on a roasting rack. I'm estimating about 60-85 minutes, but I'm not quite sure. I'm hoping it turns out well and I can post a picture of my first cook.

Looks good Mrs ... I think it better to cook indirect. What temp. did you have?Never eat anything passed through a window unless you're a seagull ... BGE Lg.
